  17. 14 generations span from Abraham to King David.  King David to deportation to Babylon was 14 more generations.  After Babylon to Christ was 14 more generations.
    1. In all, 14 is divisible by 7, which we see often.
    2. 42 generations from Abraham to Jesus.
  18. Mary was legally promised to Joseph.
    1. Mary was found to be with a child from the Holy Spirit.
    2. Mary is also the fifth woman to be presented in Jesus's lineage in Mathew.
    3. We should check Luke for the discussion between Mary and whom creates Jesus.
  19. Joseph was a just man.  Unwilling to put her to shame, he would divorce quietly.
    1. Mary and Joseph were married when he found out.
    2. If he did not, it would have been customary stone Mary to death.
  20. Angel appears to Joseph in a dream and says don't be fearful to marry your wife.
    1. They were not married yet, but just betroved.
    2. She was conceived by the Holy Spirit.
    3. Bible capitalizes the Holy Spirit.  Holy Spirit is the name, so its right to capitalize.
  21. Jesus will be a son and he will save his people from their sins.
    1. It was foretold to save his people.
  22. Lord spoke to the prophet.
  23. Virgin shall conceive, bear a son and they shall call him Immanuel.
    1. At this moment, why is Immanuel also know as Jesus?  Why didn't the Angel just tell Joseph to call the baby Immanuel?
    2. Immanuel means God is with us.
  24. Joseph did as the Angel commanded him.
    1. He woke from his sleep.
    2. He married his wife.
  25. They didn't have sex until after the birth of Jesus.
    1. Jesus is officially named.
